In yesterday's newspaper there was an article featuring the two new "hot" cocktails in Orange County. The first one is simply called "The OC". It includes mezcal, orange-infused tequila liqueur and Cointreau (plus a lot of other stuff). The second cocktail is called a "Rich and Skinny". How pretentious is that? The Rich and Skinny includes vodka, lemon, lime, pomegranate juice, (and more). I have a feeling both drinks will be hits with the Money Town crowd. I picture a line of Cougars out for Girl's Night all sipping on their Rich and Skinny's. (And oh yes, we have lots and lots of Cougars around Money Town!)
(We also have mountain lions, and most of the time they are a lot less vicious than the Cougars.)
Sometimes the vapidity of this place I live in dismays me.
However, then I remind myself of all the things I love about Orange County. Like this pelican that I met on a walk a few days ago:
I love pelicans and they were endangered. Now they are not. That makes me incredibly happy. They are friendly, lovable birds.
I also love the walks themselves. What could be better than being able to go out for a walk with scenery like this:
I never take it for granted.
Happy Friday readers! Treat yourself to a Rich and Skinny this weekend.
