I don't spend a lot of time talking about my kids. They are all old enough to deserve a little privacy (most of the time). Also, let's face it … how interested are most of us in other people's kids? However, I knew you would get a laugh out of this so I am asking you to bear with me for a few minutes. You need just a little background in order to appreciate the ending to today's post.
My daughter, TR, is 19. She was accepted into a program to study in Europe this summer. We saw her for our Hawaii vacation and then she left the following day for Europe. Tough life, right? In fairness to her, she worked three jobs last school year to go towards her trip to Europe. That money didn't last a week, but that's a whole different story.
Since she arrived to "study" we have been getting pictures emailed to us from all over Europe. I don't know how often she's making it to class when she seems to be visiting every country she can cram in. Her college roommate from the United States flew over to Europe to visit her and travel with her for two of the nine weeks she's there. Here's a picture they took in England. TR is the blondish one.
Here's a little known fact about me. I love cows. Cows have long eyelashes, and I have an affinity for cows. That is why she sent this particular photo.
Here's another photo someone took of her in Paris recently.
So now you have the general idea. She's having a blast and she isn't staying in any one spot for very long.
The other day I hopped on her Facebook page to see an update of her photos. I realized then how much she takes after me. She was in Prague. There are castles in Prague; there are many beautiful sights in Prague.
So what one sight do you think TR chose to share from Prague on Facebook with all her friends back home? Was it the castle? Or, perhaps, the quaint buildings? A beautiful landscape?
No, this is Prague. Take a close look. The world's worst comb-over.
Twenty Four At Heart will be hosting a celebration contest beginning on Tuesday of next week!
