Are You Sick of Sunrise Photos? Me Too!

I'm sure you're sick to death of seeing photos of "my" damn mountains.  I can't help it though.  I'm not a morning person.  Lately I've been forced to be up prior to sunrise.  When the sky begins celebrating with vibrant colors I can't control myself – I start clicking away.

Here are two shots taken just a few minutes apart on Friday morning.  It wasn't as spectacular as the sunrise I shared with you last week, but it was still quite beautiful.  I haven't uploaded either of these to my photo gallery, but if you want either of them let me know and I will.

How could you ever get sick of a view like that? Good for you, getting up early, so we don’t have to!

Ummm, well if you were here you would be getting sick of snow shots. Looks like that’s all I’ll be having the next few days. I’ll trade you 4 snow shots for 1 great sunrise shot, okie dokie?

Just beautiful. I am a sucker for a sunrise over a sunset any day.
Now to continue to watch the snow falling out my window this morning…
    Be well, 24.

Hey, 24, your unusually bad weather was on the BBC From Our Own Correspondent radio programme this week. I did think the correspondent was unnecessarily snarky. Here’s a bit:
“The reason for all the excitement: rain…along with winds fierce enough to reconfigure a Beverley Hills face lift. Up to six inches of rain were forecast…as well as thunder and lightening… god forbid that the temperature would drop below 60 fahrenheit, or what is known locally as the extremes of human endurance. To me six inches of rain is really only a concern if you happen to be less than six inches tall…otherwise there is a good chance that you will survive.”
He goes on to claim that you do indeed have 4 seasons: fires, floods, mudslides and earthquakes.
You can listen to the whole thing here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00q9h9w/From_Our_Own_Correspondent_30_01_2010/ but you will need to scroll to about 23 mins 10 sec into the programme to hear the California weather slot. Or you could listen to the whole thing. It’s quite interesting.
