Perhaps those of you who have followed Twenty Four At Heart for awhile will be able to understand, at least in part, what today means to me. I've fought long and hard these last few years to regain use of my arm post-car accident. I've had to give up so much of my old life in the years since the crash.
One of the things I loved dearly, and I lost, was photography. These last few months I've grit my teeth, learned to use a camera primarily with my left, functional, arm and accomplished more with a camera than I ever dreamed would be possible post-accident. It hasn't been easy … but the joy – oh how can I explain the joy?
My heart soars behind a lens. Somehow, I think my camera knows how much it's loved – how much it means to me. I don't think I even knew how much I loved photography until I could no longer take photos.
And now I do.
I cherish every single click of the shutter.
Several of you have asked if I would be willing to sell the 2010 calendar I made, or sell individual photos from the calendar. At this point, I don't intend to order more calendars but I will try to have a 2011 calendar more readily available to those of you who are interested next year.
The big news is, I've set up a site where you can go peruse photos and if you're interested in purchasing any of them you can. So far, I've only made a handful of shots available. I've uploaded my most requested photos first. I will gradually be adding more photos. If there's a particular photo you want and it's not listed in my gallery, you can email me and I'll try to make it available for you.
I will be adding a permanent link from Twenty Four At Heart to the gallery within a week. My goal is not to make a fortune on photos but I do have to charge enough to cover the costs involved in "owning" the photo gallery.
If hundreds of people start buying photos, I'll be able to drop the cost of the photos.
Not likely, eh?
Why am I doing this? People have been asking for it, that's why. (And I'm so thrilled they did because yay – photography!)
Oh, and guess what? I'm very excited because if you're interested you can also order note cards, mugs and other items with photos printed on them. I've been using photos from Twenty Four At Heart on my own personal note cards for quite some time, and now you can too.
Yes, I really am most excited about the note cards! (I looooove note cards!) And they're cheaper than most individually purchased store bought cards too. Note cards make me so happy!
Until I get a "button" added onto 24 linking to the photo gallery, how do you find my photo gallery?
You can click on this link.
Once you've done that, click on the 2009-2010 Album and you can view the photos.
Again – I'll be uploading more photos as I have time. Most, but not all, of the photos in my gallery have appeared on Twenty Four At Heart.
Some of you have been waiting very patiently for me to get this project completed and I appreciate it. Thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in my photos!
Hugs, Kisses (with lots of slobber), and lots of Loooooooove to all of you!!
