Surf and Sand

Have I mentioned lately how much I love Santa Barbara?  Because I do.

It's absolutely beautiful here.

I had the most wonderful Saturday!

Have I mentioned that I want to move in with you? Because I do. It really does look beautiful there.

Takes my breath away just looking at the photo. I think I want to retire in California at my sister’s house. She’s about 30 minutes away from Morro Bay. Not as fantastic a view as yours, but the ocean makes my heart skip a beat.

we used to spend a lot of time in santa barbara…i think one of my favorite memories is of a photograph of me and my father on the steps of the Mission. i was just a wee little baby. my parents always enjoyed the area as did i when i was an adult.

You know your title got me. The mobile home park I grew up in (now Big Sycamore State Park – you might have passed it going up – between Malibu and Oxnard). Well. The mobile home park was called The Surf and Sand.
And you are making me homesick again.

Beautiful photo! That spot makes me want to get in my car and drive 28 hours just to sit on that dock. You’ll be there waiting with a glass of wine when I arrive, right?

I am trying to get Jerry to take a trip down the coast. He says maybe February. Perhaps I’ll get to see Santa Barbara then. I hope so.
