Daffodils

* If you will be in Southern California on March 11th and you're interested in attending the Plastic Surgery party, you can go here for details. *

Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers.  They're so bright and cheery.  Who doesn't need a little bright and cheery in their life?

I bought a bunch of just-beginning-to-bud daffodils the other day.  I so enjoyed photographing them as they bloomed.

I'm thinking a series of these framed as 5x7s would look awesome in my daughter's room.

I think I'm ready for spring.  How about you?

Macro lens? I’d say you’re better than you thought you were. Simply gorgeous!

Ready for spring? Are you kidding me?? That’s an understatement!
Waiting for the daffodils along my front walkway to come up too. The stalks are sticking up from the ground and green but will be a few weeks yet. 🙂

    So pretty!
I plant a ton of daffodils each fall, so there will be some to cut as well as leave outside to enjoy.
    I love the series.

I got some in a pot from the people living in the apartment downstairs for our housewarming party on Saturday and some fresh cut ones from my dad for my birthday on Monday, so I am enjoying day 3 right now. Funny to know that yours look just like mine while you are a thousand miles away… :o)

Daffodils are the cheeriest of all flowers, after the Daisy, of course! I missed planting them in my yard this year so I’m sort of bummed. They’re always a vibrant reminder that Spring is on its way! And honey, in Utah, we need all the reminding we can get.

Jan, Most of these photos were not taken w/a macro lens. I used a 70-200 for most of them. The two super close ups of individual flowers were taken with a macro.
