Happy Saturday everyone!
I ran the Random Integer Generator software program and it came up with this:
Congratulations to Liz Tee for entering the 41st comment! Liz, please email me with the mailing address you'd like your new book sent to and I'll get it off in the mail to you as soon as possible.
A lot of you left really good questions in the comment section of the contest post. I realized pretty quickly I can't address all of them in one post.
As you know, I love photography. Many of you love it also, but I realize not all of my readers share this interest. I've decided to try out "Photography Friday" for the next few weeks. You can send in questions, tips, suggestions … and I'll pick one (or more) each week to open for discussion. It would be fun if we all could learn and share together … everyone from beginners to more advanced photographers. We can start with some of the questions you've already sent in.
For today, I thought I'd take on one of the quick questions Tami and Judi (and perhaps more of you?) asked:
My question is this: What book do you suggest for a beginner?
Personally, I think Scott Kelby's The Digital Photography Book, Volume 1 is awesome. Scott writes in a very conversational, easy to follow, style.
There are also subsequent volumes for those of you who are further along in your photography knowledge.
If you have other suggestions for a beginning photography book, feel free to leave the title in the comments section so we can share ideas. We can also discuss some photography basics on upcoming Photography Fridays.
Congratulations again to Liz Tee on winning the landscape photography book!
