Unexpected Storm

Remember, I mentioned sitting out in the cold and rain while my son played baseball on Wednesday afternoon?  Maybe you chuckled and thought, "Twenty Four doesn't even know the meaning of cold weather!"

I took this photo Thursday afternoon from my backyard patio.

Apr22

Yes, "my" mountain had a dusting of snow on it.  It didn't last long, but still – snow!

It's almost May …

Can you believe it?

DUDE, that is just wrong. I mean we had snow yesterday, but that’s not as strange.

I use to love seeing snow on the mountains around LA. Such a pretty contrast.

I imagine that did make it rather cold for you! It’s still nice sunshine here for us. Not for long though!

We’re in Autumn here, another 6 weeks till Winter. And I was somewhere yesterday in a t-shirt whilst others had long sleeves and others jumpers. I don’t know whether I have a mild temp or I’m not feeling the cold (there’s about 2-3 hours in the evening when I’m cold) or everyone is dressing because they think it should be cold.
    I love your photo.

What a breathtaking photograph. Being an almost native Southern California, I find it funny when people comment about the extreme weather in spring. Listen, people, we do have weather twice a year, once in spring when winter is trying to pack up and leave and it just can’t seem to go. And then we have weather when fall is trying to assert itself with summer. I know. I know. It’s not like other places around the country but still…What’s even more magnificent than the spectacular mountain and snow is how clear the day is…YES! No smog. Bluck.
