Last Thursday, my chocolate lab seemed to be missing my son much more than usual when he took off for school.  Almost from the time he left, she was looking for him to return.

This photo was snapped with four more hours to go until my son's expected arrival.

Awww. Old Labradors, don’t they just twang the heart-strings? Ours is an old lady too, and she gets anxiety attacks these days. So do my cats, who are even older – one of them is constantly getting disorientated at night and sits in the middle of the living room meowing loudly until I get out of bed and rescue her. It’s pretty annoying – but she purrs so loudly when I pick her up and is clearly so happy to see me that it’s impossible to hold it against her. Bit like babies, really.

I love this picture! I’ve been told that this is what my old chocolate lab does when I’m gone. Of course, I feel the same way about him! 🙂

Another great shot…nothing like that loyal retriever look…even after they chew your favorite socks, get caught on the couch, eat off the counter, dig another hole in the yard…track mud in the house…you can’t stop loving them!

That photo speaks to me. I had a yellow lab (Shiny)that grew old while my youngest son grew up. That was hard on a her. Her best friend was thinking about girls and cars, and she still wanted to play. He kept loving her, but there were other things on his mind.
