Winners and Updates

**  The winner of the Stella & Dot jewelry tote is Sandra with comment #29  **

Aaand ….

As a total surprise, Skinsations Spa asked me to use my fancy-dancy software program to pick one more winner for the LeAine Dehmer Clinical Skincare Starter Kit.  That's right, they decided to give out one more kit valued at $199!  The winner is Maura with comment #21.

A huge thank you to both LeAine from Skinsations Spa and Missy from Stella & Dot for sponsoring such fabulous holiday giveaways this week.

Wow – around $500 worth of stuff was given away this week and that doesn't include the spa and skincare product discounts made available to my readers.

Woot!

In other news – a lot has been happening while I've been busy with the giveaways.

Here's a quick, end of the week, summary.  I'll fill you in with more details on some of these items next week:

•  I was reprogrammed by Romeo last Monday and I now have THREE programs to choose from in my bionic arm.  Just call me Cyborg!

•  I'm feeling better with each passing day – thank you to those of you who have inquired.

•  I totally, completely, humiliated myself this week and it might have something to do with Romeo.  I know you're shocked.

•  I ordered photo holiday cards this year and now I glance at them every day, but I haven't addressed a single one.

•  I received my doc's permission to begin using my DSLR (big) camera again!  I'm SO excited, but my arm is weak from the surgery and down time.  I'll have to slowly build back up to using my heavier lenses.  Hopefully I'll get some photo time this weekend!

•  We picked out our Christmas tree.  It's about 12 feet tall and will be delivered tonight.  I'll try to get some photos once we get it decorated.

•  I feel very fat after all these weeks on prednisone and I can't wait to get off The Drug From Hell.  (Zillions of side effects, anyone?)  Not much longer ….

•  I do not want to hear how you've already baked dozens of cookies, addressed holiday cards, finished all your gift shopping, decorated your house inside and out, and celebrated Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa (and every other holiday) to perfection.

•  However, I will listen to you talk about all of the above if you come do all those things for me too!

I have only just got my 3′ high tree up. I haven’t wrapped any presents. I haven’t done any Christmas cooking. I haven’t made any cards yet, though I am working on them in my mind and we only send out about 10 every other year. I am in the middle of two weeks holiday and have just today felt like I am on holidays!
Oh, and my Christmas lights aren’t on yet because the power went off as I finished the tree and I can’t be bothered finding a power board now to plug them in.
Glad your feeling better and can use your heavy camera! Don’t overwork the arm trying to build it up. 🙂

We’ve got the tree up and the house decorated, no cookies baked yet.. starting that today… and I was on the drug from hell last week for JUST THREE DAYS and I quit. I fell down the stairs and reinjured my injured neck/shoulder/back – was put on Pred for the inflammation and pain.. an holy hell, that stuff sucks big time. Let’s see… dizziness, no sleep, water retention, general jittery-ness… yeah, I stopped after just three days and peed for about two more constantly. UGH! I feel for you. I do know if you’ve been on it for a while you have to taper it gradually.

If it makes you feel any better… I haven’t done ANY of those things. I’ve contemplated them, but that’s as close as it gets. (And not even with a surgery as a reason for not starting!) I have 2 boys still at home–you think one of THEM could get started!
Good luck & have fun getting back to your favorite camera!

Camera: Get Thee Out Thy Prime Lens. Baby steps, hon, baby steps.

I haven’t started any xmas stuff yet either so don’t feel bad.

I have baked NO cookies, addressed NO holiday cards, not even STARTED our holiday letter. There are eight people on my gift list and four are completed (Thank you online shopping!!). I have not EVEN pulled the decorations out for the house OR tree. (Although the pre-lit, 7 foot, slim tree is up & plugged in.) Feel better now:D

Glancing counts, with Christmas cards. Look, honey, you are still married to your first husband. You are ahead of many of us:). And all I’ve done for Christmas is figure who I have to give presents too.

I have accomplished no Christmas decorations, baking, or otherwise encountered any celebratory paraphernalia. But I am, in fact, from all this talk getting very hungry for peanutbutter crackies, which I can’t have because, well, I don’t have any. So thanks for inciting my cravings and not doing anything about it!
Heh. But I am happy you can turn yourself on to one of three lovely settings. I can at least do that . . .
