Summer in January

* Some of you have asked me diet related questions.  I know it's not a topic everyone is interested in, but enough people have asked, so I'll share some of my thoughts in tomorrow's post.  I hope you'll stop by! *

We continue to have a very warm January.

I know it probably won't carry into February and March, so I plan to enjoy it while I can.

The beaches haven't been too crowded, because … well, it's winter.

I'm not the only one enjoying the warm weather though.

I love this photo of the barefoot painter, with PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) visible in the background.  When he was done painting he had to haul his easel, canvas and paints up a lot of steps.

He didn't complain.  (I was huffing and puffing right behind him with my very heavy camera gear.)

Earlier in the day, I came across this:

All his relatives were already here:

It must be a tough life, being a crab.  You never know when you'll end up being served as dinner at a restaurant.  If not a restaurant, you have to worry about get swooped up unexpectantly for someone else's dinner.

beautiful photographs, as always. We just got another foot of snow, so … thanks for the reprieve.

It continues to be cold and shitty in Detroit. 56 days until I head for Florida. Hopefully I will make it gracefully through the next 8 weeks. Doesn’t seem likely, though.

It is snowing here, too. Up to an inch by the end of the day, on top of the six inches we already have on the ground.
I’ll just stare at that seagull picture for awhile – it’s spectacular. And warm-looking.

Oh gosh… now I’m hungry for crab legs. I wonder if he has any relatives who want to be my victim?
Two inches of snow here on top of rain and sleet. Just another day in paradise.

Ahhhh. I’ve never actually snuggled into a blog post before, but I just used yours as a blanket. Hope you don’t mind.

I’m totally taking advantage of the spring-like weather we’re having and have been gardening. I’m sure it’s not been as warm here in northern CA as it has been in southern CA but I’ll take it:) Enjoy!
