Friday Randomness

I've been really busy lately.  The next ten days are going to be even busier (house guests).  I feel like I've got a lot of topics, and a lot of photos, to share.  I just haven't had much writing or photo editing time.

Here's a dose of randomness in honor of the upcoming weekend.

My car can only take premium gas.  Ouch!  It makes me want to cry!

This is Charlie, the basset hound.  He loves me.  I love him.  I especially love his soft ears and droopy eyes.  I met Charlie while out for a walk one day.  Believe it or not, one of my readers spotted me as I was just beginning my walk.  She introduced herself by saying, "I'm not a stalker, but …."   We ended up walking a few miles together and she took the above photo.  (Thank you Cathy!)  By the way, Cathy is not the same person (at all!) as Pigtails from my recent post.

My pink pepper spray arrived!  Stalkers beware!

My new Twitter avatar.

Of course, I Photoshopped out my wrinkles, wouldn't you?

A heron watching the traffic go by.  (The above photo was taken as I walked around the Mission Viejo lake – more MV lake photos in future posts.)

A bee caught mid-flight.  I love how he looks all fuzzy since my camera was focused on the flower.

My favorite sneakers drying after they once again got soaked by a wave.

Speaking of …

I hope you have a great weekend!

A nice way to start my Friday morning, my dear. Lovely pics, and you have a great weekend, too!

Small consolation, I know, but here in the UK, we are currently paying the equivalent of just over $8 a gallon! Oh yes, indeed! 🙁

What a great picture of you and the dog. And, that last wave shot… wow again. I want to come visit you… I promise I’m not a stalker 🙂

Love the fuzzy bee shot! Gas prices… bleh. We aren’t near as high as you are yet.

That’s such a cute way to introduce herself! I love the dog too. 🙂
Great pictures. Have a great weekend!

I love your random. More than I can say – we have rain all day today and tomorrow, and have more snow in the forecast for Sunday.
Can I come live with you? I’ll cook!

Thank you, Sheppitsgal. I was confused and thought I must have gotten it all wrong with the Euros and litres and such, but apparently not: We are paying $ 8,40 here in Germany.

I love the last picture! Colby fell into the waves off the mossy rock at right. It sucked him out pretty far. We saved him. He wont stand on mossy rocks ever again. 🙂

Cathy took a great picture of you! Your previous commentator is right — in the UK we never, ever feel sorry for you guys when you complain about gas prices.
