Tiptoeing Through The Tulips

Today is a holiday in the United States so I’m going to keep this post “light.”

I’ll be back tomorrow with a little more substance.

Tulips are blooming all over Orange Country right now.

Tulips = Two Lips = Valentine’s time of year.

Yes, this really is how my brain works!

P.S.  Last night Briefcase and I went out for a belated Valentine’s celebration.  We had dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club in Newport Beach.  Torii Hunter, from the Angel’s baseball team, was at the table next to us.  This really is what life in Orange County is like.   (We are BIG Angel’s fans, by the way -!)

Tulips by the thousands!

I went tulip hunting the other day.  Tulips are one of my favorite flowers and I wanted to take a lot of photos while they’re blooming.

When they’re no longer blooming, I’ll be able to stare at the photos and pretend they are.

Pretty red tulips seem so fitting for the month of February.

Do you like tulips?

Do you have a favorite color of tulip?

I’ve kind of overdone it with photographing tulips lately.

(Who me?)

I think I’ll be editing tulip photos for months to come.

This purple-ish/pink-ish tulip is one of my favorites so far:

Purple tulip.

Are tulips blooming where you live right now?

I LOVE me some tulips! I like the ones that are two-tone…any colors (but two-tone purple ones are my absolute favorite)! Beautiful photos!

I’m jealous – our tulips are at least two months away! Or perhaps not, what with the mild winter we’ve had. But our crocus aren’t up yet, and they come first, followed by the daffodils, then the tulips.

Red and yellow tulips are my favorites, although we have a bed of mixed purple and yellow that are just lovely, too.

I too love tulips. Where did you find them in our area? I also love the Flower Fields in Carlsbad and I know you have been there with your camera!
