Orange County Mid-February

We’ve had *cold* weather here since last Friday.

(Go ahead east-coast readers – sneer at my definition of cold.)

On the positive side, it’s supposed to be in the 80’s by the end of the week.

I thought I’d share a couple OC winter photos with you today.

Last Saturday morning, after Friday’s storm, I woke up to this view:

The dusting of snow melted by the end of the day.

It was pretty while it lasted.

I decided to go hiking at San Clemente State Park that same day.

It was a beautiful day to be outside.

The beach is always breathtaking after a storm.

The above photo was taken at Upper Trestles which is a famous surfing beach.

Personally, I wouldn’t have wanted to be in the water without a wetsuit on.

Kids don’t seem to mind cold ocean water though.

The week prior, I took this photo at The Wedge in Newport Beach (another very famous surfing spot):

It was a beach-foggy day.

See?

It isn’t always sunshine and clear skies here …!
