The Termite Vacation

At some point today, I’ll head home.

My termite-induced vacation is coming to an end.

While everyone else enjoys their Labor Day weekend, I’ll be cleaning and restocking my house post-fumigation.

That’s okay, really.

I’ve had a nice few days “up the coast.”

The weather has been spectacular (except for beach fog in Cambria and Morro Bay).

I’ve taken a lot of photos, and had a lot of fun.

And ok, Paul Newman probably wants to strangle me …

But, I’m determined to make him like me again when I get home.

A bottle of wine might be in order as a bribe.

Does that sound inappopriate?

Because, really, it’s not.

(It *might* have something to do with a whining  begging  series of text messages I sent him when I woke up yesterday?  I was under the influence of severe muscle spasms.  I might have temporarily lost my mind.  Sheesh …. it’s a good thing he has kids.  I think he’s used to calming  me  down whining people.  And yes, I did start using my “little” camera after that conversation.  Sigh.)

Anyway ….

This is Dolly, the bulldog.

Dolly is a service dog.

I met her on the pier in Santa Barbara.  She’s very sweet.

Animals like me.

Maybe because I like them?

Speaking of Santa Barbara,

Some things never change ….

I wish I had an old van.

I’d love to travel all over the country in it – taking photos, of course.

(Paul Newman is screaming, “NOOOOOOOOOO!!” right now, isn’t he?)

I eat a lot of (absolutely fantastic) Mexican food when I’m in Santa Barbara.

Here’s a photo from inside Rose Cafe.

It’s a good thing I *also* get a LOT of exercise when I’m shooting.

I’ve put a lot of miles on my feet in the last few days.

Next time, I’ll do more of this:

I had a serious accident 3 years ago too. Mine happened at work and I have been followed as well to see if I was lying. I was not ready to retire from teaching. I am sorry for the rudeness and the terrible pain you suffer every day. Sincerely, Nanci White
