And So ….

Hello, my name is Suzanne and I am one of millions of intense pain sufferers.

Sigh.

I’m in a really bad pain flare-up right now.

I’m seeing Paul Newman this morning and I’m sure I’ll be better after I see him than I am right now.

I am really (really, really!!) hurting ….

In fact, I can’t seem to even concentrate enough to write.

But, here’s a quick update on a few things ….

•  I have over 500 emails flagged for immediate response.  Yeah … some of them have been staring at me for weeks.  My sincere apologies if you’re waiting to hear from me.  I really hope to make a dent in them within the next week.

•  I’ll be in Texas (Dallas area) the last weekend in September.  I don’t know how flexible my schedule will be, but let me know if you’ll be around and want to grab a cup of coffee.

•  I’ll be in San Francisco the first weekend in October.  (The weekend of October 5th.)  If you live in the Bay Area and have time/want to get together let me know.

•  Completely unrelated to everything:  I recently purchased a Keurig.  It makes me feel old.  Yes, a coffee machine CAN make you feel old.  The whole purpose of a Keurig is to make *one* cup of coffee at a time.  It’s a very empty-nest-ish appliance.

•  Also?  Here’s a photo of some of the thunder clouds behind my house.  I took this from my backyard patio.

I’m sorry I don’t have more for you today.

I’ll be back tomorrow.

I’ll either be feeling better on my own, or feeling better with the use of medication.

Either/or will be better than today …!

Oh dear, I hope it gets better soon, one way or another. I would help if I could 🙂

      Thank you Denise.
I wish we lived closer … not so you could help me, but just for fun!

I’m sorry, dear – I hope Paul Newman helps enough so that you don’t have to take the meds. I know how much you dislike them.

I understand about the email situation. All too well. *sigh*

    • Suzanne

      He did help me.
      And?
      I took meds.
Really, it is sometimes the perfect combination to keep me sane.

I hope you get your pain flare under control quickly and the pain subsides.

Love my Keurig and use it mutliple times a day. Great for when I want iced tea too, or need a small amount of hot water for cooking even. If you buy strong coffee or even a tea k-cup, you can use it twice, unless you don’t like weaker / medium flavors. Have fun experimenting.

I am 16 pt session post-shoulder surgery. Got a steroid shot on Friday and everyday I wonder how the hell you keep doing all that you are doing. I keep asking my therapist if he could please just walk around holding my arm for me all day… He laughs and says he doesn’t think that would be too practical but it sure would make for some funny stories. When the spasms kick in or I move it not quite right – holy hell.

Gentle hugs and positive energy sent your way.

      Jenny,
I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
I absolutely hate that intense “fresh surgery” pain … and, trust me, I know it well. I hope you heal completely and quickly … and with as little pain as possible. I send gentle hugs right back to you!
