Yesterday, I worked out at the gym under Baby Face’s watchful glare.
He’s been particularly brutal on me this week.
I think he feels I need to make amends for my exhausting few days in San Francisco.
Here’s a sample of a Baby Face conversation from Monday:
BF: You aren’t tired from lack of sleep. You’re tired from drinking too much.
24: How do you know I drank anything?
BF: I can tell!
24: I didn’t drink that much.
BF: I can tell what you did.
24: Can I do an easy ab work-out today?
BF: Absolutely not.
After leaving the gym yesterday,
I bought a scientific beaker to measure liquids in.
Next, I purchased a sexy santa top (plus a bottle of olive oil, a pair of small purple gloves and a man’s superman costume) …
And then I got a flu shot –
All in a very short span of time.
Of course, I had other things to do during the day too.
Boring stuff like laundry, photo editing, mailing a package of to one of my kids, grocery shopping, writing an article on sunset photography tips on a for-hire assignment, blah, blah, blah.
Did I mention I also sang (as loud as I could) some Beatles’ songs as I drove all about town?
My life is completely normal, right?
This entire week I’ve been feeling really tired.
Maybe I still haven’t recovered from my trip up north.
Maybe my flared-up arm is responsible – pain is exhausting.
Maybe it’s the additional workouts with Baby Face this week.
Maybe I haven’t been eating enough vegetables.
Regardless, I find myself craving a “do absolutely nothing” day.
I’ll have to schedule one on my calendar for sometime soon ….
