At some point, later today, I’ll drive home.
I’ve had a wonderful, four day, mini-vacation.
I was fortunate enough to have picture perfect, crystal-clear, warm, sunshine-y, summer-ish, weather.
I’ve had a great time with my daughter.
And, I’ve indulged in some fantastic restaurants.
I’ve walked (and walked, and walked!) until my feet nearly wore out.
I’ve taken some photos, although not nearly as many as I normally would.
I’ve really enjoyed having a free, flexible, schedule.
Mornings have meant breathtaking ocean views, quick stops at little coffeeshops, and long walks.
people-watched window shopped for hours, but purchased nothing more than a book.
I sat by the beach and read for an hour one afternoon.
I’ve shared wine with friends in the evenings.
I wish I could permanently move into my beautiful room (with its spectacular mountain AND ocean views) at The Huntley Hotel.
I’ve also inhaled art exhibits and hiked along ocean bluffs.
All in all, it couldn’t have been a nicer birthday weekend.
I can’t wait to share a few of my photos with you.
I’ll be uploading them as soon as I get home ….
P.S. Do I really have to go home? I want to stay on vacation forever ….
