Friday The Thirteenth (of December)

I hope you’ll stick with me as I go through my “date” stage with post titles.

There’s no accounting for my brain, but I think it has something to do with it being December and the fact I keep thinking, “How many more days do I have to get shit done?”

It’s so beautiful here now.

Pretty, pretty, days.

I’m not touching my camera yet, though.

I don’t dare this soon after such a bad flare-up.

(Also?  Paul Newman is temporarily missing from my life and I don’t want to push my arm-limits without him.)

Speaking of Paul Newman –

I want to publicly wave to him today and tell him how much I love and appreciate him.

I think he sometimes feels frustrated he can’t “make me completely well” like he does with his other patients.

Most people are normal, of course.

And, I’m not.

(My doctor recently confirmed, I win the award for the most f*cked up arm in world history.  I’m honored?)

I’m not sure Paul Newman realizes how much he DOES help me.

I’ve accomplished so much this last year, and I could never have done even a small percentage of it without him.

His work allows me to be able to do more than I’ve ever been able to do since the accident.

When I push myself further than my body likes (as I so often do), he becomes The Arm Whisperer and gets me back to where I need to be.

Anyway, since he *sometimes* has to put up with me being cranky and/or sobbing on him,

I thought it would be nice to tell him publicly how grateful I am.

His help allows me to live my life doing what I love … and that’s a very big deal.

(I’m sure he’s blushing by now?)

Speaking of nice people,

My UPS man (who is such a nice UPS man!!) keeps playing Santa.

Every day he shows up with boxes.

Yesterday, I sat down and made lists and realized I really have done a lot more  damage  online than I realized.

A lot of it was when I was in a Drugged Up Pain Haze.

It’s kind of interesting to see what shows up on my door.

I seem to have gone particularly overboard on embellishments for decorating gift wrap.

(Apparently I think I’m craftier than I am?)
