Pretty Bras

There are certain things I like,

And other things I don’t care about at all.

For instance, I only buy “decent” clothes for those occasions when I can’t get away with wearing grubby yoga pants or jeans.

But, I love pretty (but comfortable!) bras.

[Lace can be sexy, but if it’s scratchy I don’t want it near my (ooh-la-la-super-sensitive) girls.]

Wearing a pretty bra brightens my entire day …

Even if no one else sees it.

Lately, my favorite bra has been Victoria Secret’s Body Perfect Shape bra.

I realize there are a lot of different body shapes out there.  What’s comfortable for me might not be comfortable for someone else.

(And this is not a Victoria Secret sponsored post – I’m just sharing my thoughts.)

I like this particular bra because:

•  It’s really comfortable

•  It looks good and has a nice shape under clothes.

•  It’s available in many pretty and/or sexy colors.

•  It provides adequate nipple coverage for the coldest of days.

•  I can be very active while wearing it without ever having to worry about falling out of it.  (Very important considering the acrobatics I sometimes do while shooting.)

Good bras tend to be expensive so I only buy them when they’re on sale.

Yesterday I hit up Victoria Secret for their annual post-Christmas sale.

Purchasing a couple new bras was the highlight of my day.

(It’s the simple things in life!  And/or the rest of my day was very boring?)

I couldn’t wait to get home and toss out a few of my old bras.

Out with the old, in with the new.

What a great way to start 2014 …

With new bras and very happy boobs!

P.S.  I bet if “they” did a survey, they’d find women who wear pretty bras are happier than women who don’t.  A pretty bra really does make you feel good about yourself.

I’m just lucky if I can find a bra that fits and is comfortable – underwires and I don’t get a long AT. ALL. Pretty has become a secondary consideration, alas.

This post made me chuckle because I just did the very same thing! I decided I was DONE with the underwire bras I’ve been wearing for decades after spending a few very uncomfortable days getting randomly poked at work. UGH! I don’t know if I just don’t wear them the same, or if the quality in general is lower or what, but had THREE different underwires give out on me lately. I bought several non-underwire bras from Cacique (Lane Bryant) and I LOVE them! They’re comfy and more supportive than I thought they’d be (I’m a 40D). Also, the wider straps stay up better on my bum left shoulder 🙂 I’m a happy camper now! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
