The Sixteenth of December

My son was home for about five minutes before he headed up to L.A. to spend the weekend with his sister.

It warms my heart to know how much my kids enjoy hanging out together now that they’re (sort of) grown-up.

Due to geographical, and age, differences,

I’ve never had as close of a relationship with my siblings as my kids do to each other.

As a parent, it’s great to know what a tight bond my kids have to each other.

Now that my son’s back from L.A.,

I’ll be putting him to “work” helping me with some Christmas stuff.

It was 84F at my house yesterday, and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to absolutely loving the warm weather.

I tried to spend as much time outdoors as I could.

And no, being out in the beautiful weather didn’t get me any closer to being “done” with Christmas-related stuff.

But …?

Who wants to be fighting the crowded malls on a weekend anyway?

I did make a stop to meet up with one of my OC readers, yesterday.

She purchased a print and wanted to have me sign the back of it.

We connected at a Starbucks.

(Thanks again for the coffee, Missy!)

And then …?

Well, it was time to be outside again.

I know we desperately need rain.

I’m sure we have at least a few rainy days ahead of us.

But, in the meantime, I feel like it would be such a waste not to enjoy every minute of sunshine I can.

P.S.  Only my littlest, lightest, camera was used to take the photos for today’s post.

P.P.S.  My “real” camera will be needed for a work project beginning today.  Wish  my arm  me good luck.
