The Tenth of December

•  The jacket I UPS’ed to my Texas son “overnight” five days ago, has still not arrived.  It’s in Texas, but it apparently can’t be delivered due to icy roads.

•  We have cold weather (!!!) here in Orange County.

•  Jimmy Kimmel’s take on the cold:

•  Yesterday, I got a shot in the ass.  It definitely helped reduce my pain level.  It did not reduce my ass.

•  I’m now in the process of learning more about PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections and stem cell therapy for my arm/shoulder.  It’s kind of confusing, and exciting, at the same time.  I don’t think I want to know what the possible financial cost might be.  If you know anything about either of these “therapies,” I’d be interested in hearing what you can share.

•  Science is an amazing thing.  Very soon people won’t have to go through even a small percentage of what I’ve had to go through since the car accident.  Thank goodness.

•  Dr. Painless also prescribed some “emergency” meds for me to have at home for “next time.”  So, hopefully, I won’t have to spend another 10 days of my life  in pure hell  like I’ve spent the last 10.

•  I had ordered some decorative/Christmas cupcake liners from Amazon.  (I pretty much buy everything on Amazon.)  Mocha thought they were pretty.  She chewed them all up and left cupcake liner confetti on the floor.  It might be my only indoor Christmas decoration this year.  Aren’t dogs helpful?

•  Today, I might ever-so-slowly-gently do a few Christmas errands.

•  It feels like I’m learning to walk again.  One cautious step after another ….

That video is hilarious, and so completely real. Having grown up in Chicago, I laugh when I hear myself talking about how cold it is here. It was 35 degrees, though, at my house this morning which is really cold!

I’m glad there’s hope of new therapies, and that you are coming out of your flare-up a bit.

      Isn’t it funny?
      And, so true!
It does seem to be warming up now which is GREAT!

It’s been so cold here, I haven’t ridden my horse much at all. And so I feel like a slug. I’ve been thinking of doing a little baking, but if you add that to the mix, it’s not a good thing. I think it’s going to be above 50 today. Woohoo!

I hope you feel better soon 🙂

Next time I’m up your way, I hope I get to meet your horse!

It’s 19 degrees now in Michigan, brrrr!
    I love your humor Suzanne.
Take it easy doing your Christmas errands today.

      Thank you.
      I don’t think I’ve ever experienced 19 degrees.
      I can’t even imagine!
