This And That …

•  I just began reading A House In The Sky:  A Memoir by Amanda Lindhout.

Yes, I know I’m a little late to the party on this one.

(My “to be read” stack on my Kindle is huge!)

But …?

So far I really like this book.

•  My son and I have been binge-watching Arrow in the evenings.  I had never even heard of this show. (???)  It’s a series based on an old cartoon so it’s … well, corny.  I didn’t care much about it during the first episode or two, but now I’m hooked.  We’re about halfway through season two.  And okay, I admit, the fact Stephen Amell rarely wears a shirt certainly helps hold my interest.  It’s kind of like a Batman/Spiderman type of series.  Season II seems to (so far) be better than Season I.

•  There’s a nice woman named Tina who does amazing art work on my toes every few weeks.  Right now I’ve got toenails painted like sunsets with a palm tree waving in the breeze.  It’s one of the “easier” designs she’s done for me.  Some of her art work looks as if it was stenciled on, but she does everything by hand.  Even better, Tina’s very affordable … in fact, her rate is cheaper than many normal/standard pedicures in other OC nail salons.

•  I’ve been stunned by some of the recent news headlines:

Bride Walks Down Aisle Dragging WHAT?   (Answer:  a one month old baby tied to her wedding train)

The bride said it was okay because she’s got Jesus on her side.

There’s so much I could write in response to this story, but really – ???

Kasem Hospitalized; Wife Throws Meat

Of course she did.

Every wife should throw meat at her husband’s kids while quoting imaginary King David Bible verses.

•  Speaking of headlines …

I would be thrilled to never hear another word about any/all of the Kardashians, Justin Bieber, and Tori Spelling.

OK, I’m done now.

For today, anyway.

Where is that nail place, Suzanne? We have been going to a rather pricey place off Alicia and I could try something new.

It’s straight across from Saddleback College on Marguerite.

I was just going to ask the same thing! I’m not that thrilled with my regular place, and it’s pretty pricey for a boring no-design pedicure. I want fancy toes!

The Bible doesn’t think much of dogs. Symbolically, they tend to represent bad people, have owners who are idolaters, and eat unholy things. That is probably what the crazy woman meant.

Canines may have changed over the centuries, except for the eating just about anything part.

    I love your toe art.

      Thank you.
Yes, packs of wild dogs are (for the most part) a thing of the past.
