Road Tripping

Today is Day #4 of my road trip.

This is what I have to report so far …

Day #1 and Day #2 went perfectly – maybe better than perfectly.

The drives went smoothly, the weather was spectacular, I got some amazing photos, etc.

Day #3 …?

Well, road trips sometimes involve mishaps, right?

Nothing major went wrong, but it just wasn’t a smooth day.

Minor mishaps in the morning meant a very, very, late start to the day.

And the very late start meant power driving for hours, without stopping, in order to reach the hotel I needed to be by nightfall.

Day #3 was a beautiful drive, but so, so LONG.

(And there were so many stops I wanted to make, but couldn’t.)

But, there are a lot of days ahead of me and I knew when I planned this trip every day would not be perfect.

So where am I?

Well, to be honest, I don’t know where I’ll be when you’re reading this.

I am somewhere in Northern California probably.

But, I’m making my way to Oregon to see my parents.

I may be in Oregon by the time you read this.

My nineteen year old son is accompanying me.

So far, he’s been a trooper.

I didn’t have time to take photos on Day #3, but I have some amazing shots from the first two days.

Hopefully I’ll have time to sort through them once I arrive at my parents house.

(It will nice to stay in one place for a couple days.)

I’ll have another update soon …..

So glad you’re enjoying your time (and with your boy). And glad you can let so-so days go and not stress over them. Continue having fun 🙂

      Thank you.
The driving is brutal, but worthwhile.
