Quick Yoga Update

Yesterday afternoon, I drove 45 minutes for my private, pre-scheduled, yoga lesson.

The point of the lesson was to learn modifications for things I can’t do with my arm.

I arrived to find the studio locked.

I waited for a half hour and the instructor never showed.

I then drove 45 minutes back home.

Two hours of my day … lost.

And, I was very disappointed, of course.

I had been excited for DAYS – looking forward to it.

Sigh.

Late last night I received a message from the instructor.

She apologized for “spacing” on the lesson and said,

“I’m probably not a good fit anyway.”

Apparently, the universe doesn’t want me doing yoga??

I’m busy today packing, and getting organized, for a cross country flight tomorrow.

I’m feeling so discouraged, I’m not sure if I’ll try again on the yoga front.

I guess I’ll have to see how I feel about it when I return next week.

I don’t think (?) I’ll have a chance to write a post again until next week.

I will, however, be posting photos on social media if you’re interested in  stalking me  following along with my trip.

OMG how rude!!! I’m sorry, that really sucks. 🙁

    Safe travels.

      It does suck.
      And, yes, people are rude.
If I “spaced” I’d feel so bad I’d offer a free lesson to make up for the inconvenience.

It’s not you. We are 65 and have yoga instructors help us modify for bad knees, a sore hip today, etc. And these aren’t private (costly) lessons! Find somebody worthy of you. Safe travels!

      Thank you.
You would think it wouldn’t be so difficult to find an instructor, right?
I think people are intimidated by my injuries/disability.
I didn’t expect it to be such a project to find an instructor.

Very unprofessional. Would your surgeon or physical therapist just “space” on an appointment? Of course not. There must be so many yoga instructors in our area who are qualified to modify poses for your arm. You just haven’t found that person yet. Best of luck.

      Thank you.
I’m sure there are instructors who are qualified.
I never thought it would be so difficult to find one.
      Especially here in SoCal.
