Today marks my 100th post. It's time to celebrate! There is a tradition, or so I've been told, of posting 100 random facts about yourself in your 100th post. The thought made me start yawning and nod off with my fingers still on my keyboard. I'm sorry everybody, but I can guarantee you don't want to read 100 things about me. I'm not that interesting. If I can't keep myself awake thinking about the subject, how could you possibly read it?
Instead I am going to work really hard to come up with 50 random facts about myself. We'll pretend each fact counts as two, okay? Then, if you manage to read all the way through, I'll have a $50 prize/contest at the end of the post. Each of my fifty random facts represents one potential dollar for the contest winner.
Here are my random facts:
1. I was truant a lot in high school.

50. You become very irritating when I have PMS.
And now for the contest!
The winner will receive a $50 American Express Gift Card which can be used almost anywhere!
To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment listing one random fact about yourself. If you're shy, you can make a comment about one of my random facts instead. Just leave a comment, and you're entered!
You may only enter once. If you are a blogger and inform your readers about this contest on your site, with a link to this post, I will give you two additional "bonus" entries. You must email me or send me a comment letting me know you've done this and providing me with a link to your site. I will be verifying all sites that choose to participate.
The names of all contestants will be written on slips of paper and put in a hat. Briefcase will be pulling the name of our winner from the hat just like he did for the last contest. The contest ends on Friday August 15th, at 8:00 p.m. Pacific time. The winner will be announced on Monday, the 18th. Good luck!

Although I DID make it through the 100 Things list (with much trepidation, you can check it out at http://alntv.wordpress.com/my-100/), here is 1 more fact about me that ISN'T on that list...I wanted to be a radio disk jockey when I was in high school and college and worked part-time at 3 local stations before giving it up (thankfully).

Holy shit, woman - we ARE related!
I, too, prefer most men to most women and do not relate well to "girly girls."
I, too, prefer Chinese and Mexican to Italian.

Beloved's family doesn't like me either.
Want to spend hours in a bookstore? I'm right there with you.
My grandfather was an upstanding citizen, but not a very nice one.
I just love you to death - you know that, don't you?
Posted by: Jan | August 12, 2008 at 06:29 AM
First of all, I must say that most of the 50 things you listed about yourself, I could have written about myself. Great list by the way! So I tried to go to read your list of 100 things but it wouldn't let me.
A random thing about me. I love vampire movies.
Posted by: Lori | August 12, 2008 at 06:36 AM
Fact: I'm an adrenaline junkie.
Another fact: I had a roommate in college who is a multi-millionaire who lives in Orange County :}. Hee, hee.
Just one more: I'm a tom-boy who likes getting dirty and sweating and doing boy things (I'm with you on the girly-girl thing). My favorite job was working outdoors, building trails and rock walls....and how did I end up in healthcare, sitting in a sterile office all day wearing a skirt and big girl shoes?
Posted by: jo | August 12, 2008 at 06:54 AM
I had to have tongue surgery when I was in highschool becuase the webbing underneath my tongue was too big and whenever I swallowed my tongue pushed agianst my two front teeth and was causing them to seperate. The actualy technical name for me was a "tongue thruster"

I was once nude on the cover of a magazine....when I was 2.
Posted by: Ry | August 12, 2008 at 07:47 AM
I didn't have a multi-millionare roommate, but I did briefly date a guy in college whose Mom was a multi-millionaire socialite in OC and was on the cover of Orange County Magazine.
And I'm the youngest of 7 kids.
Posted by: Judi | August 12, 2008 at 07:55 AM
I was an honor student is high school and could barely maintain a C average in college - way too much partying and too many boys. Obviously I attended an all girls school and didn't date till college.

in high school I tried drinking cough syrup, (LIKE EVERYONE ELSE) but out of all the girls who drank it that day.... I was alergic to the codiene, and got busted because I was puking up pink stuff like a Hawian Punch fountain. Not only did I get in A LOT of trouble, my partners in crime thought it was hysterically funny

AlnTv sent me to this blog, I read his almost every day. I don't always agree with what he says, but most of the time it's somewhat interesting.
A random fact about me... I was a model in 11th grade and appeared in a hair magazine. My 15 minutes of fame!
Posted by: lmc310 | August 12, 2008 at 06:27 PM
I had to have my mouth wired shut for 6 weeks, over Christmas, after jaw surgery. I had just graduated high school earlier that year.
Way to go on post #100! And I enjoyed reading your list. I don't think I would even have 50 things to write about myself.

I use to date a billionaire and I'm the one that ended the relationship. That wasn't the world I wanted to spend the rest of my life in.

Random fact about myself: I was born without hip sockets and they grew in when I was 18 months. My parents were told I'd have 50/50 chance of them ever growing in.
Posted by: Joanna | August 12, 2008 at 08:35 PM
random facts about me:
1. I too can touch my nose with my tongue. so can my 8 year old daughter (it's genetic).
2. I'm 5'11 (& a girl), don't hate it but don't love it. I don't want my daughter to be over 5'8 because i think the pool of men who would want to date her would drastically shrink. at least in my experience (but i did get married at 22 to my boyfriend who i met at 19) most men don't want to date girls taller than them.

Hey there! Found you through your comment on UD's website. You're fantastically funny!! And congrats on the 100th post!
My random fact is: I'm a huge texture freak when it comes to food. Weirdly enough, I LOVE cottage cheese but HATE everything else with weird texture. Examples? Applesauce, tomatoes, strawberries (I can feel the seeds), oranges or any other stringy citrus fruit - this also applies to fresh squeezed orange juice and lemonade, chunky peanut butter, yogurt with fruit in it, oatmeal, etc...
