Thank you to everyone who entered! It was a great contest. You sent in some really interesting random facts. Some of you have websites of your own and I will try to visit as many of them as I can over the next couple weeks. I really enjoy hosting contests. If any of you have some creative ideas for future contests I'd love to hear them. I'm currently very behind on email responses, but I'm reading everything you send to me and will hopefully be caught up soon.
A few of you emailed in questions about some of my random facts. I will use some of my random facts as writing prompts for future posts. The first such post is right below this one. Why was I truant so often in high school? One of the primary reasons is explained below.

okay, I have GOT to play, even though the contest is over. Random facts-
1. When I was 4 and my dad was stationed in Nice, France, our villa was next door to the actor David Niven.
2. I spoke french and english growing up in france, until we returned when I was six. Forgot it all.
3. I got kicked out of my 4th grade class for correcting the teacher when she mid-pronounced photosynthesis. (I am NOT a geek.)
4. After college my friends and I drive to California to live, and I auditioned to be a Playboy Bunny. Didn't make it.
5. I was a private investigator while taking classes to be a teacher.
oh man, do I need to go on??? This is FUN!!!
