Yay on the lawsuit settling! And knowing that you can now start to think about paying bills - that's got to be a HUGE weight off your mind - and maybe will help with the movement of your arm, carrying that stress around isn't easy on either the mind or the body. Maybe the Torturer will be 'kinder' knowing that you will be able to pay him ;)

Tricia

I'm so happy to hear the law suit has settled and this is the beginning of the end of your legal battle. What a relief for you!

Maybe you can call him Smelly.

Linda

*Throwing confetti in the air*
The case is settled!
*more confetti*
Yippee! Yahoo! Hip hip Hurrah!
OMG, I felt a weight lift off MY shoulders! I'm so happy for you!
*confetti*

Jan

Oh, CONGRATULATIONS on settling the lawsuit! Hoooooooraaaaaaaaay!

And bless your heart - your post today is almost as random as mine. Gotta love it.

Donna in VA

Congratulations to Erica!
Nine times, huh?

I'm sure there's a sense of relief that the lawsuit is over. I hope it covers everything for you.

And it sounds like the mid-life Money Town women are trying to compete with the younger ones. Aaahh to be so shallow.

ballerinatoes

Yay for settling your suit! Putting on my attorney hat, I can confidently tell you that getting your case settled will do alot for your peace of mind and healing, both mental and physical. I've represented several clients in particularly personal and painful cases and have seen how much "healing" they had when they had closure on the situation. XOXO to you!

Lori

Yay for you! I hope that this brings some closure and peace to your life now. I cannot wait until my case is settled but that won't be for awhile yet. When it does I will be doing the happy dance and celebrating.
I hope that this week goes well with all your appointments and all. I look forward to reading more about this new guy.

EricaB

I can't decide if I am more excited about MY winning or YOUR winning (or settling as the case may be).

Thank you!!! I was really fighting myself about spending the money on the Twilight Series (that nearly every blog I read raves about and my best friend told me was "life changing") and now I will go out and buy them happily :)

sometimessophia

Do older women get wrinkly boobs or youthful boobs? Must keep those plastic surgeons busy... you know, does the skin tone match?

sometimessophia

Oh!! And congrats on the lawsuit. That's major!!!!

Lo

dude! congratufuckinlations on the lawsuit finishing!! and HELLO covering med bills?? ALL?? phew. you are one relieved mama i'm sure. (i'm still getting billed for my damn ambulance last year. fuckers.) and uhm, hello? why are mid-40 women getting boobs? i mean.. i dunno.. seems kinda silly to me. push-up bras work just as great, no? i mean, who's seeing a 40-something woman naked? her husband. and her husband can't stand a sexy lacy bra while they're doin' it? i just don't get it. then again, i'm 24, and i don't get why girls my age get them. whatev. more power to 'em, i guess? maybe?

also, MT man is kinda freakin' me out a little. if he smells like money. that's just plain wrong. (and dirty.)

jo

Alas, some closure:) Congratulations.
Hey, Freebird is playing on the radio...how apropos (even though I hate that song!).
About boobs, 40-year old women with perky 20-year old boobs look abnormal. I remember a patient I had taken care of in a nursing home had a boob job about 20-30 years ago...she was ahead of her time. Anyway, those perky things looked so strange on her otherwise, aging 70ish-year old body. Can I pose a question to the male readers? When men see women with obviously fake boobs, it is a turn on, even though they're obviously not real? Less of a turn on?
Just curious.

Missy

Congratulations on the terrific news! I know all your readers want to give you a group hug. I completely agree with ballerinatoes on the emotional healing factor that will take place. Nothing will ever be as it should with your shoulder, but hopefully this very painful chapter will come to a conclusion. Lots of hugs...

Liz C

Thanks, jo, I always wondered how those fake boobs would hold up in a nursing home. I can see the appeal of getting nice, fresh ones in midlife, but the reality is that they can't help but look stupid.

Congrats on your settlement! My sister had a malpractice case drag on for 8 years. It finally settled, and she was able to go on with her life.

Kristan Hoffman

Yaaaay congrats on the settlement! I'm so glad you won't have that stressor anymore.

goodfather

YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY! Woot, woot, woot! It's peanut buttah jelly time! It's peanut buttah jelly time!

Congratulations on the settlement. Wow. I'm with missy on the group hug - (((((((24))))))). I'm glad you will be able to cover your medical bills, and I really hope you get something for our pain and suffering. YOUR pain and suffering. No, really, congrats. :D

And mid-life-fake-boobs? Is that the female equivalent of a penile implant?

Linda

Already chimed in on the settlement thing. CONGRATS AGAIN! So now I'm on to the mid 40's boob job thing. Would I? No. Had I had children? maybe. Do I know anyone? Yes. she's 67ish, looks 50ish (from California) she's in better shape physically than I am (at 47 thanks Lo =) and she looks freaking fantastic!

Margaret (Nanny Goats)

Well congratulations to all who have won this week! So glad to hear about the lawsuit. Yay!

Heather

Congrats!! That must be a relief to have the legal aspect over. So I want to hear more about the PT Money man??

thistle

are they new fake boobs...or just the old ones readjusted back up to where they belong?...just askin'...

and yay for the lawsuit crap being over :)

Midlife Slices

I know you are so relieved to have that lawsuit over and off your mind. No amount of $$$ will give you back what's been taken from you but I hope it helps make things a little easier.

Tell Money Man you'd love to get to know him better and maybe you'll have more time after you get that nasty STD all cleared up. I'm sure he'll lose interest fast. LOL
I've been known to tell people things like that just to watch their mouths drop open. But only if I think I won't have to interact with them socially later on. Ha!

Midlife Mama

Yahoo; what a relief to have that over and done with. Not that it compensates for losing the use of your arm, but at least it will pay your medical bills. Whew!

That's funny, because I always thought it was women in their 40s who got boob jobs. Women in their 20s are generally still very perky. In your 40s and up, they somehow end up somewhere in the vicinity of your navel! Maybe these women are hoping that if they have boobs like a 20 year old, their husbands won't feel the need to have a fling with a 20 year old. LOL

jill prettyman

great news on the settlement! I never figured out why people get boobs so big you look at them and think BOOB JOB.
